1View Privacy Notice

Effective 1 October 2026 · English is the governing text

1. Who we are

1View is the work app and web portal you use for your job. It is provided by Channelplay SaaS Private Limited — "Channelplay", "we", "us". Channelplay is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here: we decide why and how it is processed. Your employer, Channelplay Limited, uses 1View to manage your work. For any question about this notice or your data, contact the Grievance Officer — CISO CP, CISO@channelplay.in (section 10).

You may be deployed on a brand programme run by Channelplay for a client. Section 5 explains what the client receives, and section 13 lists processing that applies only on some programmes.

2. What this notice covers

The 1View mobile app (Android and iOS) and the 1View web portal, used for your work with Channelplay. It does not cover Channelplay's public website, which has its own policy, or the 1Channel and UNO apps, which are covered by the 1Channel Privacy & Data Protection Policy — if you also use those apps, that policy applies to them.

We do not collect your bank account number through 1View (one programme form asks only for the name of your bank). We do not collect call logs, contacts or SMS. Your attendance selfie is not used for face recognition: it is kept as attendance evidence and, where your programme enables it, checked for grooming standards (section 4) — 1View does not compare it with a reference photograph or create a face template.

App permissions

The 1View app asks for these permissions on your phone, each only when the feature needs it:

PermissionUsed for
CameraAttendance selfies, work photos, sales-pitch videos, and proctored quizzes (only after you agree)
MicrophoneOnly while you record a sales-pitch video, an AI role-play or a voice answer in an assessment — never in the background
LocationYour position at the moment of an attendance, check-in, form or ticket action — not in the background
NotificationsReminders, approvals and announcements

It does not ask for call log, contacts, SMS or background location. If you refuse a permission, the features that need it will not work (for example, attendance needs the camera and location); the rest of the app still does.
